Englische Erklärung des Videos aus dem Watchdogs Forum:
Zitat:What's interesting starts at 0:34. The developer explains that a middleware is a small software that takes in account a special parameter of the game (physical, graphical or special effects). Every single middleware is important to create a game's universe. We also learn that 98% of Watch Dogs' middlewares were created by Ubisoft.
Then the programmer (with the computer screen) shows both time and weather middlewares. He then explains that people's behavior (i.e. the AI) will change according to the middleware program that influence them (like shelter inside while raining). Every single leaf or can is influenced by a middleware.
He also shows the wind middleware (when there are colored arrows every where on the ground). He says that the gaming experience will be very rich thanks to those little softwares.
Then, when we see the cars, he explains that there's a special middleware for collisions (like the wheels of a car that collides with the road). That means driving experience will be radically different whether the road is wet or dry. When we see the can moving on the ground, he explains that it is the middleware that controls it realistically.
After, he explains that at 11PM, there are chances to see people exiting the theater, whereas not during the afternoon, because it won't be open yet.
Finally, the first developer explains that the interest of middlewares is that you can use them in different games or different productions.
