Zitat:Game director Sean Ainsworth and game designer Harrison Pink confirmed that the narrative of 400 Days won't have anything to do with Lee and Clementine's story directly, though we will visit some familiar areas. The developers are keen to keep 400 Days as its own entity. "After season one was finished [...] all of us were just excited about the idea of doing something different, trying to not do the same thing. [...] We'll go off on a completely new direction and do some really exciting new stuff."
In 400 Days, you play as five separate people throughout the episode, in a time frame spanning 400 days. Their stories intertwine, and you can play each of the short stories in any order. We'll get to meet a total of 27 different characters throughout the entire episode, Ainsworth also revealed: "About 70% of the character count for this episode is the entirety of Season One. [...] We don't have the time in a short story to build up the emotional payoffs that you would normally build in a season. A lot of these are trying to get to know these people very quickly, and then you have to make a decision."
Perhaps most interestingly, the choices that you did or didn't make in Season One "will come into play in 400 Days," Ainsworth confirmed. "And then, the events of 400 Days may or may not come into play in Season 2. "Depending on your choices."
