Das ist der Absatz: (gleich unter dem ersten Watchdogs Bild)

"Former programmer Dominic Guay is a senior producer at Ubisoft Montreal working on eye-catching cross-generation game Watch Dogs. For Watch Dogs, due out later this year, the cloud has come too late to be used. But Guay dares to imagine how it may be harnessed in the future."

Die News die du überall liest ist vollkommener Mumpitz. Die "Quelle" reißt die Zitate einfach aus dem Zusammenhang. Tatsächlich ging es in den entsprechenden Passagen um Vergleiche zur Current Gen.


Die eigendlich News dahinter ist fast schon mehr als 3 Wochen alt! Und hier wird es erst richtig interessant! Es ist die selbe Quelle die wiederum bestätigt, dass WatchDogs eben keine Cloudfunktionen bieten wird. (der oben verlinkte Eurogamer Artikel). Gleich unter dem Satz der diese Funktion für Watchdogs verneint:

"He says there are parts of a game that don't need to run at exactly the same refresh rate as inputs or graphics, for example, which he describes as "very close" to the gameplay.

"While we play multiplayer games there is latency. If you play a game of Watch Dogs with me, I know where you are and I see you, but there's latency in setting that position. So suppose you were an AI, and the decision to make you move was run elsewhere. There would be the same latency. If you think about it, it's not different than you holding the controller when you're playing multiplayer.

"It might allow someone to use one dedicated machine just for on AI. What kind of AI could I do with that? That's interesting."

Guay points out that his ideas are theoretical and must be tested before they can be considered appropriate for game design, but he's convinced there's more to the cloud than press release doublespeak.

"The way a tree reacts to weather, it's physics, right?" he says. "It's bending materials. Well, what if I could run that on the cloud? It doesn't need to be fully synced. There are occasions where there will be an advantage, but it's clear in the short term there's plenty of power within the machines. That's where our engineers are working."

Die OXM hat wiederum auf genau diesen Artikel einen Bericht über die XboxOne Cloud gebracht und hat sich dabei beim Interview aus dem Eurogamer Artikel bedient:

Nun bringt Gamingtarget einen Artikel und behauptet, dass die Entwickler gesagt hätten die XboxOne Version wäre die beste Versuin aufgrund der Cloudfunktion und bezieht sich dabei NUR auf den OXM Artikel: http://www.gamingtarget.com/article.php?artid=13270

Und mischt als Beweiß noch ein Zitat aus einem Nowgamer Artikel hinein, ohne es als Quelle zu nennen:

"For example, we’re able to simulate the water in full 3D, if you go on a boat the waves that form will affect other boats. We’re also able to spend more time giving brains to the other people on the streets so that they can basically be smarter, and there can be more of them. It’s what I call dynamism; basically, the way the city reacts to you, we are able to push further on the Xbox One.”

Nun Springen alle Gamingseiten aufs selbe Boot und nennen für ihre News Gamingtarget als Quelle, die ja mit dem dick gedrucktem Satz ja den Beweiß für diese Aussage liefern. *facepalm*

Was alle aber nicht wissen, ist das dieses Interview aus dem Nowgamer Artikel stammt, wo es bei der Aussage lediglich um den vergleich zwischen Xbox360 und XboxOne geht. Das ist typischer Internet Journalismus!
Sprich es wurde nie behauptet die XboxOne Version wäre die beste Version von allen, noch hat Watchdogs irgendwelche Cloudfunktionen. Eine Typische Ente diese News.
