The DLC is currently available now for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag at $9.99 and part of the game's Season Pass for PS3, PS4, X360, Xbox One, and PC. The standalone version is not announced for Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
“We decided to release Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry as a standalone game for both fans and newcomers to the Assassin’s Creed universe,” Ubisoft's Tony Key said. “Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry delivers key elements of an Assassin’s Creed game, including a new hero, new environments and new weapons.”

Wer kauft denn einen DLC, wenn er nicht mal das hauptspiel hat?

Also ist das der DLC Schrei nach Freiheit, den hab ich schon vor Wochen auf der One durchgespielt. Kann ich weiterempfehlen
Aber als Standalone ist er nicht geeignet da er Parallelen zur Hauptstory zieht und etwas verwirren könnte.

finde ich sehr gut, dass dlc´s auch ohne das hauptspiel laufen! vielleicht hat mans ja beim kumpel durchgezockt und würde sich gern dlcs kaufen - dann ists schon von vorteil, dass man das hauptspiel nicht braucht. sowas sollte es öfter geben
selbst wenn es parallelen zur hauptstory gibt, ist die story doch zum grossteil eigenständig (oder?) da reicht im hauptmenü ein verweis zum hauptspiel im store und gut is
