Ein neues Halo-Spiel ist in Entwicklung und er erscheint nicht für die Xbox One:

A listing for “Bootcamp” surfaced on the Korean Game Rating Board today, which is apparently some sort of Halo game. You can enlarge the image above to see the listing, or check it out for yourself right here.

Odd things in that description: Halo 3 is mentioned. Huh? Is this potentially the rumored Halo 3 PC port? Also, this is listed as a PC/online game, not an Xbox One title. Wah?

We reached out to Microsoft for some clarity, and a spokesperson provided Game Front with the following statement:

“What’s Bootcamp? It is not related to our Xbox One efforts, or the Reclaimer Saga, but rather a project we’re very enthusiastic about and will have more to say about in the near future.”

So, it’s not an Xbox One game. Nor is it a part of the “Reclaimer Saga” (which is a fancy title referring to the new Halo trilogy, starting with Halo 4). So what the hell is this thing? It’s clearly a spinoff of some kind.

Note that “Bootcamp” could in some way refer to the similarly titled Reed Ruiz novel Halo: Fall of Reach: Boot Camp. And what’s that book about? Here’s the Amazon description:

Your guess is as good as ours at this point, but we’ve at least confirmed A). That Korean Game Rating Board page wasn’t ‘shopped, this is actually a thing, and B). it’s not for Xbox One, and C). it’s not a part of the new Halo trilogy.

In welche Richtung geht das ganze dann?

Kann ich mir jetzt nicht gerade viel bei vorstellen...

So wie ich das verstanden habe soll "Bootcamp" ein Third-Person-Shooter für PC werden. Bei "Spartan Assault" kann es sich um dasselbe Spiel (oder einen darin beinhalteten Modus) handeln, es könnte aber auch etwas komplett anderes sein, etwa die Fortsetzung von Spartan Ops und/oder ein eigenständiger Titel für die aktuelle oder künftige Xbox.

Ich bin mal gespannt was da mit "Bootcamp & Spartan Assault" auf uns zu kommt.
Entweder etwas wirklich großes, denn Spartan Assault hört sich schonmal echt gut an, vielleicht könnte es auch der Name der TV Serie sein die ja auf der One erscheinen wird, kann ja alles sein oder wir tappen alle völlig im dunkeln, dann soll aber mal jemand auf der E3 nächste Woche ein Licht ins dunkle bringen...^^

Sind wahrscheinlich sowieso erstmal nur vorläufige Namen. Ich könnte mir aber schon ein Halo á la GOW Style vorstellen. ^^

zum thema halo tv-serie..... naja....spielberg....grooooßes naja. jedes projekt bei dem er in den letzten jahren mitgewirkt hat....wer hat sich diesen mist überhaupt angeschaut? ^^

Sieht mir eher nach "Alien Breed" aus als nach... ach, du meinst wegen der Exkulsivität!
Naja, ich geh stark davon aus dass irgendwelche Fans das sicher porten werden. Wenns für Windows 8 rauskommt kann sogar sein dass Wine das irgendwie handlen kann

Jedenfalls is das das erste Halo-Spiel das ich nicht kaufen kann und werde, und damit ist für mich schon mehr oder weniger der Ausstieg aus dem Franchise eingeläutet. Denn auch wenn es nur ein Minigame ist, bei dem momentanen Stand der Dinge braucht man nur ein Storyelement verpassen, und man hat sofort gigantische Probleme mit der Handlung künftiger Titel. Stell sich mal einer vor, Halo4 zu spielen ohne zu wissen wer der Didact ist.
